For more than 40 years, Robert Anthony Nolan (Tony) has concentrated his practice on estate and trust law. He joined the firm after attending law school as a military veteran following his service as an officer in the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

Tony assists clients with estate planning and estate settlement matters. He and Beth Nolan work closely as a team on all aspects of the estate and probate practice, to ensure that every client benefits from their combined knowledge and experience.

In his estate planning and tax planning work, Tony provides insightful guidance that helps individuals protect their families and their assets in a sound and complete estate plan. Clients appreciate Tony’s honest and candid approach to planning. His congenial manner always puts clients at ease.

As part of his special focus on estate (death) tax planning, Tony draws on a range of strategies and tools, including revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, and charitable remainder trusts. In helping clients balance tax mitigation with long-term family goals, he explains complex principles in understandable terms, so clients can make fully-informed decisions and have confidence in the structure of their estate plan. In his estate settlement and trust administration work, Tony prepares estate tax and gift tax returns, as well as fiduciary income tax returns.

In his practice, Tony has established long-standing relationships with many clients, including multiple generations of families. Clients, friends, and neighbors admire Tony for his devotion to the community and his earnest concern for the well-being of individuals and families, which extends far beyond his law practice.
