About the Firm

Located in Weston, Massachusetts, the law firm of Nolan & King LLC provides legal counsel and representation to individuals and businesses throughout Massachusetts.

Our Rich Legacy of Service to Clients and the Community

The legacy of Nolan & King spans more than 80 years. Richard H. Nolan (Dick), opened the law practice in Newton, Massachusetts in 1938. Over the years, the firm relocated to Boston, back to Newton, and finally to Weston.

Dick Nolan was a well-known and highly respected estate law attorney. In response to inheritance tax questions he received in his capacity as the original legal counsel to the Massachusetts Inheritance Tax Bureau, Dick created Nolan’s Universal Chart Showing Relationships and Degrees of Kindred According to Civil, Canon and Common Laws. The Chart earned him significant national and international recognition and brought clients to the law firm from around the world.

Tony Nolan joined the firm in 1974 and built his own reputation as an exceptional estate and trust lawyer. In 1993, Beth Nolan joined the firm. Tony and Beth, who practiced as partners in Nolan & Nolan for more than 25 years, are respected and admired for much more than their legal skills. Clients, friends, and neighbors hold them in high regard for their dedication to the community and for their gracious and caring personal devotion to the individuals and families who live in Weston and the surrounding areas.

Gwen King carved her own path in the legal profession. For more than a decade, she practiced with large firms in Chicago and Boston, establishing her stature as an accomplished litigator and counselor. In 2022, eager to continue her family’s legacy of commitment to their clients and community and provide her clients a more cost-effective model, Gwen joined the practice, and the firm became Nolan & King.
